In 2007 I was asked by Seymour Fox to redesign the look of his law office building on historic River Street in Troy, New York.
Last year Seymour passed away. He had a wonderful sense of creativity and anyone who has ever worked with Seymour will know that there was never a dull moment.
This is the before picture. Red doors and rusting pillars.
The next image was taken after most of my work was done. The street level was painted a cream color with gold accents and trim. The 14 panels below each window and door were filled with a panorama of the Hudson River inspired by the Hudson River painters of the 19th century.
My work was done at this point and a painting company continued the upper levels of the building with cream colored cornices and gold accents. (not shown in this photo) The final effect was beautiful.
