The idea behind this work is layered textures - warm and cold, smooth and rough, natural and man made.
The first is rocks, sticks, grass and metal scraps-things you would find ifyou dredged up a polluted river. The second layer is cold hard rusted ungalvanized steel and finally warm sanded and shellacked plywood that feels and looks like silk.
A thank you to Scott Harriman again for the carpentry and to Frank at Selby Fabricators for cutting the steel for me.
(Photographing the colors and textures was tough..)
