2009 marked the 400th anniversary of the Hudson River Valley's discovery. Upstate New York celebrated this event throughout the summer.
I was commissioned by a businessman in Troy, NY to paint a large painting (6' x 9') in honor of this celebration. It currently hangs in the foyer of a building on historic River Street in Troy, New York.
The images below were taken as I was finishing the painting.
The first image was taken in daylight. The second with halogen lights at night. (You can really see how different kinds of lighting effect color changes) The third image is a close up of Henry Hudson's Half Moon ship. If you click on it it will open in a separate window and you can see the detail.
